When I was younger I loved to draw, my mother encouraged me to apply to the Visual Arts Program at Mayfield Secondary School. I took classes in video editing, photography, and even learning autocad in architecture class as I explored my creative interests.
After High School I took a Design Certificate Course where I explored multiple design disciplines like Graphic, and Packaging before deciding I want to become an Industrial Designer and create products people can hold in their hands.
I completed my Industrial Design Degree and got my first job at a Sky2Designs where I worked on new product ideas and existing Solar powered products. I gained valuable knowledge of manufacturing techniques for a variety of different materials.
I worked as the Production and Design Manager at 3D Phacktory. Here I worked on a wide range of products either managing projects or working with clients myself to design and produce everything from Movie props to medical devices to childrens toys. I also got to run the most advanced 3D printer in the city.
I was hired as the Sole Designer at Thumper Massager to redesign their flagship product line. They had been making their products for over 30 years and wanted to update the line to use lithium powered battery packs. I worked with local and over-seas manufacturers to reduce manufacturing costs as well as refine the supply-chain and assembly process.
